It is integrated into Visual3D and activated with an additional license key. There is also a stand-alone version. CalTester does not have an annual support fee. The software and updates can always be downloaded. Inspect3D does not have an annual support fee. Inspect3D is a bit application only due to the large amounts of memory required for analysis. It runs only on MS Windows. C-Motion, Inc. Our goal is to enhance the value of 3D motion capture systems to improve patient outcomes, improve sports performance, reduce injuries, and generally improve lives.

We do this by providing the mathematical tools that researchers and other professionals need to improve their decision making. Visual3D is the product that resulted from this effort, and it was released commercially in C-Motion has since focused on the needs of the medical research, sports research, and rehabilitation communities with leading-edge 3D motion analysis capabilities.

Today, Visual3D has thousands of users in over 50 counties. A tiny sample of some customers is below. The price list is here. Comprehensive product documentation for all products is on-line and available for general access.

Tutorials, examples, reasearch citations, and methods are there too. Training can be arranged either on site, on-line, or in our offices. Two days are usually required for the basics.

Pricing and schedules can be arranged by contacting us. Visual3D uses published approaches to biomechanics. Several C-Motion staff were contributors to the textbook shown in the next section. Wiki Documentation. For actual technical support questions, you may contact us using the web Contact Form. C-Motion staff has contributed to a textbook describing the mathematics and principles of biomechanics.

It also uses Visual3D as part of the process. More information on the book from the publisher can be found here Below is a button to download the Visual3D Educational Version of the analysis software referenced in the textbook. This is a very restricted version of Visual3D and limited to viewing ONLY the 4 example files included with the software.

This demonstrates the force assignments when the foot is in contact with multiple platforms. Example CMO file of a person doing a headstand done with 15 force plates. NicPod1 colleagues of mine who currently use Dartfish are actually looking to change to Contemplas Regards Fatima.

Fatima , Nov 12, Re: Biomechanic Software I agree, I suppose it is based on what you want to achieve, most people who use video as another tool, nothing more. I have to run off for a few swift ones or i'll be fined Price, call me. The price depends on size, whether they are mounted on foamex or just vinyl.

Whether you collect or what them packed and delivered. We have moved away from the original thread- and I want this site to remain a great podiatry forum and not a place for promoting products I am sure you will agree. I figured that since you have spent a large chunk of your recent life thinking about this idea it would be great to engage you on the forum and pick your brain a little given the ongoing controversies in the clinical value of gait exams, what they amount to and how that relates to clinical application of biomechanical theories.

Mart , Nov 14, Re: Biomechanic Software Hello Today, while browsing the net I came across a page on kinesiology therapists. Where I found two computer programs used for biomechanical analysis. It's simple, but useful to record and evaluate athletes in the biomechanical examination and assess possible changes in sports movement and the pathomechanism that may be present to prevent or treat lesions.

This software analyzes the patient's gait in slow motion through the capture a video short for example by a digital camera. David Smith , Nov 20, Mart , Nov 20, Re: Biomechanic Software We recently installed Dartfish. The deciding factor for us was the response we got from the suppliers, some didnt respond too well, others sent you a link to their website but Dartfish picked up the phone, came out for a demo and we bought the system, 2 cameras, 1 for sagital and 1 for frontal, l like the idea of if l need back up there is someone that will talk to me.

Boots n all , Nov 20, Also to consider limitations, value and justification for doing this. Cheers Martin The St. Mart , Nov 30, You must log in or sign up to reply here. Show Ignored Content.
