I even picked up some monster wire to rule out a short, and tried the same setup with my monster power Pioneer VSX-D1S reciever and had no problems. NOTE dgital movies sound better on the new sony, music sounds better on my 12 year old pioneer The speakers are JBL units thay had displayed with the reciever.
I tried my Bose s and had the same problem. Sony has not repsonded to my inquire, and the store would not take it back for it was after 90 days.
Watching a show via my DirectTV works flawlessly, even at high volume. I've checked the wires and even purchased a new set. I've checked the polarity on all of the speakers.
